Our Purpose

It is the purpose of Advocate Homes to provide supervised supportive services for ambulatory adults with DD and TBI.

Our goal is to nurture the needs of those residents as well as to provide opportunities for growth. Our smaller group setting will also allow for the continuity of familiarity, comfort, and balance throughout their day. We believe appropriate behaviors, and an environment which enables them to exist, will increase the ability to promote independent life skills and expand the resident’s ability to succeed within their community.

Advocate Home’s intention is to promote self-confidence, accomplishment, and independence in daily living, economic self-sufficiency, and integration into the community. The residents’ needs are met with dignity and respect.

Included in the programs provided at Advocate Homes will be opportunities to promote job and life skills in our on-site developmental day program, as well as through a full array of recreational and community services and activities. Advocate Homes promotes full participation in all aspects of life.
